Halloween & Fall Review

Wow, it's been a long time since our last post...sorry for keeping the spider up there for so long Becca...but there's a new one for you later in this post.

We have been very busy running around here at the storage unit between home, school, and trying to find Jazzlyn a babysitter when needed :(. Shala has class intermittently on Thursdays and Mondays, but also has to be on campus or at UC Davis Med Center quite often for clinical hours doing whatever she does there. Darrell has class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Otherwise we haven't done anything other than what you will read about below. We have been stuck in the storage unit surrounded by red-orange garages and RVs. You know it is getting to you when you have dreams of being surrounded by red-orange garage doors.
Halloween:
Jazzlyn was a little Indian girl for Halloween. We went to Shala's parents house and her sister continued to call her Squaw after which she would order her to do something (like in Peter Pan). She was very cute. I carved a pumpkin with the outline of a doggy, she would look at it and say pumpkin, and then do her little dog breathing pant for a second (that is what she does now when she sees a dog).

Ardenwood Harvest Festival:
We went to the harvest festival with my parents at Ardenwood farm. Jazzlyn loved every second of it, she ran around in the dirt, tried to climb up hay bales, helped pick corn, danced to a bluegrass band, gave lots of hugs, and screamed a lot as well.

Jazzlyn's Favorits:
Jazz loves her books, sometimes it seems like all she wants to do is read them or have them read to her. Whenever we turn around she is sticking a book in our face and saying "buk" while dragging us to her room or her chair to read it to her. She also has a thing for headbands, she loves them. Shala loves it because they are cute and add to an outfit and she keeps them on her head. She also loves music and dancing. During general conference every time the choir came on she ran to the TV and bounced to the music...even though the music wasn't all that hip for dancing if you know what I mean.
SNAKE!
We found a snake one day at the storage unit...unfortunately it wasn't just on one occasion. After this picture was taken and the snake was relocated, it came back. Jazz and I were walking out to the car in the garage and there it was...sitting next to the car looking up at us inside the garage. Jazz now knows the word, "nake". When my parents were over Jazz, Shala, and Grandpa were smelling the lavender plants and Jazz starting saying, "NAKE, NAKE, NAKE" while pointing at Shala's feet. The snake was right by Shala's feet and Jazz was warning her. Grandpa grabbed Jazz and moved her away to safety. We should produce a movie called, "Snakes at the Storage Unit".
FYI: It is a baby snake, it looks bigger in the picture than it is....but it wasn't tiny either.

Jazz's costume is so cute. I can't believe how big she is getting. If you ever need help, you can always bring her here.

I havn't decided which is creepier, the spider or the snake...

At least you posted the picture of the snake at the end of the post!

Jazzy looks adorable and I want to pick her up and squeeze her. She's gotten so much older. Next time we see her it'll be weird seeing her walking around with all the other kids. We look forward to seeing you guys soon.
